Website Design & Development: Alabama Weddings Magazine

Michelle Tubbs, publisher of Alabama Weddings Magazine, gave us the great opportunity in the Spring of 2011, to begin conceptualizing a fresh, simplified web presence for their top-notch publication. Their primary objective was to create a directory of all things wedding-related so that brides could research, plan and network with vendors for their big day…all while staying on one website.

Through careful planning and extensive conversations and meetings, Michelle, along with Christopher Confero, were able to outline their vision aesthetically and organizationally. Once the structure and vision was in place, we executed their concept through an exhaustive catalog of real weddings, galleries, wedding inspiration and other valuable wedding resources. We also focused on providing AWM with the ability to gain plenty of sponsors through right-column ad placement on their site.

Lastly, a huge thanks to Randy Anderson, an incredible friend and developer of mine, for all of his hard work to make this project become a reality for Ingram Image.

The icing on the cake for this very involved site with e-commerce functionality, is that we integrated a WordPress Content Management System for Michelle and her team to take the wheel as far as maintenance is concerned. We are able to save so many clients valuable dollars through our CMS integration, and almost anyone with basic computer knowledge can maintain sites utilizing this technology.

A huge thanks to Michelle Tubbs and Christopher Confero for not only giving us the opportunity to work on this project, but also for their patience and trust throughout the creative process. It means a lot. We’re so excited about the launch of www.alabamaweddingsmagazine.com, and we hope that many brides find it useful in the future as they plan for their big day.
